A simple and elegant style, form, composition, and concept of my inherited, formal silk kimono (left) were the basic design to build my version (right). I used traditional materials and methods of sewing and embroidring to create my contemporary kimono. The design of the freeway landscape on the right kimono actualy exists. A video footage showing local freeway sceneries which run for 10 mimutes total, was projected over both kimonos.
